The Poker Crew Takes Care of Its Business

Check it, sexy people: Shawn, formerly known on my Poker Blog as Pumpkin Boy (when I couldn't stand him), played in a $40 buy-in, thirty-one person no-limit hold 'em tournament yesterday, and he took the whole thing, winning the $450 first-prize money.

This is the same tournament that my big bro won in mid-September, which means that the poker crew is two-for-two whenever this tournament is held.

On the last hand of the night, when the two remaining stacks were almost even, Shawn flopped a boat, slow played it, pretended to agonize over calling the other guy's overly aggressive bets (the guy didn't have anything), suckered him into going all-in, and then called, tearing that aforementioned guy's soul out and taking all of his chips. Respect to Shawn.

You know how we roll. I demand recognition for the crew.
