Let's Do This Thing, the "Thing" Being Las Vegas, Part Two

A week from today, I'm heading out to Las Vegas for five days of poker action. First, I'll be staying at the Stratosphere (not the best hotel in the world, but, it's only going to be $42; sweet) on the night of the 12th. Then I meet up with Bert, inventor of the Bert Death Spiral and String Theory, and check into the Excalibur, where I do all of my poker playing and where I'll be staying through Saturday morning. Look for me, I'll be the one full of existential despair. However, we're also going to head over to the Rio to check out the World Series of Poker and try to get into a couple of satellites and see if we can accumulate enough buy-in chips to play in one of the $1,000 no-limit hold 'em tournaments that are goint to take place Wednesday through Friday.

There won't be any day-by-day posts (if I'm awake, I'm at a table), but I'll take notes, and, if I have time, I'll try to post when I come back. I might not have time because I'll be heading out on the Pacific Northwest Museum Tour three days after I get back from Las Vegas. I'm quite the traveler this summer.
