My Favorite Words

It's been two weeks since I put up any new content on my little website. It's not that I haven't been writing, it's that I've been writing too much. I've been working on the March Poker Report, but I can's seem to be able to get it finished, mostly because I've got so much about which to write. For example, there's going to be a five-page, single-spaced section on how much America West Airlines blows.

To hold you over, I thought that I'd give you a list of my favorite words. I'm a poet, and words are the material with which I work, so I spend a lot time thinking about them.

My Favorite Words:

Lemon: the word feels great in your mouth and it's the signifier for a truly miraculous piece of fruit that looks and smells and tastes incredibly delightful. My dad has lemon trees in his back yard, and I love going back there with a book and reading in the shade of his lemon trees.

Death: I'm sort of obsessed with it. My favorite use of it is when Tybalt says, "Turn, Benvolio, and look upon thy death." That's hardcore.

Rain: It's pretty when it rains, and sad, too. I like things that are pretty and sad. I should probably start an emo band.

That's it. Every other word in the English language is just absolutely worthless and beneath contempt.
